iKON’s Full Swing on Japan Oricon+Thailand Concert+iTunes Worldwide

[엑스포츠뉴스=김미지 기자] iKON is creating waves not only in Korea, but in all over Asia.
iKON’s second album ‘RETURN’ released in Japan last month on the 26th topped Oricon’s Weekly Album Rankings. According to Oricon on October 2, 66,000 units of ‘RETURN’ were sold during the first week since its release, putting the album in the top spot for the weekly rankings which will be announced for October 8.
iKON previously topped Oricon’s Weekly Album Chart with their mini album ‘NEW KIDS : BEGIN’ released last year on August. Their latest achievement has more meaning since they set the best sales record in Japan for the first week, ever since making debut.
Along with their no. 1 on Oricon with the album ‘RETURN’, iKON is shaking the Japanese music industry with their new mini album, ‘NEW KIDS : THE FINAL’, released yesterday (1st). The new album topped Japan iTunes Comprehensive Rankings, K-Pop Rankings, and Pop Rankings, notifying the group’s successful comeback.
‘NEW KIDS : THE FINAL’ topped iTunes Album Charts not only in Japan, but in a total of 25 countries including Singapore, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Philippines, Malaysia, and Indonesia. The title song ‘GOODBYE ROAD’ also topped China QQ Music’s K-POP MV Chart and Kugou’s K-POP New Releases Chart, proving the group’s influence in China.
