iKON Reveals Narration Teaser for ‘GOODBYE ROAD’… BOBBY, “The Lyric is the Key”
[스포츠서울=정하은기자] Group iKON revealed the last narration teaser clip for their title song ‘GOODBYE ROAD’, which is full of autumn vibes.
Today (27th) at 4 PM, YG Entertainment revealed the narration teaser by iKON’s BOBBY, CHAN, and SONG through their official blog (www.yg-life.com).
BOBBY, CHAN, and SONG introduced the lyrics of ‘GOODBYE ROAD’, the title song from iKON’s upcoming mini album ‘NEW KIDS : THE FINAL’ in narration form following JAY, DK, B.I, and JU-NE.
With a lonely facial expression contrasting with the blue autumn sky, BOBBY stated, “The castle called trust which we built together has fallen apart, now you’re looking for a new man while walking the goodbye road”.
CHAN continued, “If I knew about farewell, perhaps I shouldn’t have loved you so much”, while SONG added, “I didn’t meet you to cry together, we didn’t build all these memories to get hurt”, passing on the lyrics of ‘GOODBYE ROAD’ that illustrate a heartbreaking farewell.
The title song ‘GOODBYE ROAD’ is a song that illustrates a break-up after love that started with happy ‘flower road’ times. The song was written by B.I and BOBBY, while B.I, YG’s producing team FUTURE BOUNCE, and Bekuh BOOM composed the track. The song competed for the title with ‘LOVE SCENARIO’ which gained huge popularity in early 2018 but had to wait for a year to be released since the song fits perfectly with autumn vibes.
BOBBY, CHAN, and SONG raised the fans’ expectations by explaining ‘GOODBYE ROAD’.
On ‘GOODBYE ROAD’ which BOBBY participated in writing the lyrics, he explained, “The song has a lyrical and emotional vibe. The lyric of the song is key. I tried hard to write poetic lyrics”.
CHAN stated, “It’s one of my favorite songs. It’s easy to listen to, fits the vibes of autumn, and contains iKON’s new musical concept”. SONG added, “It’s a soft ballad track. The song contains a lot of catchy elements which will satisfy listeners regardless of gender and age”.
On iKON’s upcoming mini album which will be released on October 1, a total of 4 tracks written and composed by B.I will be listed, including the title song ‘GOODBYE ROAD’, ‘DON’T LET ME KNOW’, ‘ADORE YOU’, and ‘PERFECT’. The pre-order for ‘NEW KIDS : THE FINAL’ containing newly transformed iKON’s music began today (27th) at 2 PM, noticing the real countdown of the group’s upcoming comeback.
After dominating music charts in and out of Korea in early 2018 with the song ‘LOVE SCENARIO’, iKON is planning to touch people’s autumn emotions with the song ‘GOODBYE ROAD’.
