BLACKPINK Reveals Moving Choreography for ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’…” A Choreography Aimed for the Public”
[OSEN=유지혜 기자] BLACKPINK revealed the energetic yet restrained moving version choreography of ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’.
On June 18 at 12 PM, YG Entertainment revealed the moving version choreography for the title song ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’ from BLACKPINK’s first mini album ‘SQUARE UP’ through their official blog.
BLACKPINK displayed restrained movements and perfect harmony, while showing off their individual charms and charisma.
The pistol shooting-like movement in the chorus ‘Hit you with that ddu-du ddu-du du’ caught the viewers’ attention.
YG Entertainment explained, “The pistol aiming choreography was aimed at the publics’ hearts” and continued “The energetic movement fits well with the powerful track and its direct lyrics”.
The video revealed today is the first-ever choreography video by BLACKPINK that was shot as a moving version, and therefore well displays the dynamics and special sense of the choreography.
BLACKPINK is re-writing various records as soon as they made comeback in approximately 1 year. They are maintaining ‘all-kill’ status in 8 Korean music charts for 4 consecutive days, while topping iTunes Album Charts in 44 different countries.
On June 17, the song ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’ was also placed at no. 1 on the Comprehensive New Releases chart, Comprehensive MV chart, and KPOP MV chart in QQ Music, which is China’s largest music platform. The group proved their popularity in China by winning the triple crown.
Their MV is also setting milestones. BLACKPINK’s MV for ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’ surpassed 10 million views in the first 6 hours, 20 million views in 13 hours, 30 million views in 23 hours, 40 million views in 27 hours, and 50 million views in 50 hours. They swept and re-wrote all pre-existing time records held by K-Pop girl groups.
BLACKPINK will meet the public through various promotional activities. They will appear on KBS Cool FM ‘AKMU SUHYUN’s Volume Up’ today live at 8 PM, and will also make a live guest appearance on MBC FM4U ‘Ji Sukjin’s 2 o’clock Date’ tomorrow (19th) at 2 PM.
