iKON Reveals Director’s Cut Teaser for Their 2nd Album ‘RETURN’… “Will Be Focusing on Korean Fans in 2018”
[서울경제=정다훈기자] iKON is gathering attention with their continuous incredible promotions, as they revealed a director’s cut teaser for their 2nd official album, ‘RETURN’.
YG Entertainment released ‘iKON – 2nd ALBUM ‘RETURN’ TEASER FILM: DIRECTOR’S CUT’ through their official blog today, on January 8. The meaningful story composition on the album title and the sensual visual graphics from the teaser made the viewers curious.
Following the first teaser video revealed without notice, the full-version displayed members of iKON with sensual and delicate visuals, rather than iKON who used to adhere to their ‘strong character’.
Also, objets such as close-up scenes of members with ambient background music, paper planes, bitten apple, broken mirror glass, a transparent but shiny tumbler, scattered tape, and LP added completeness to the unusual film.
The teaser was directed by ‘VM Project Architecture’, who is currently receiving spotlight at the visual industry. The trendy and distinctive concept which breaks the traditional mold of teaser clips captured the attention of viewers.
iKON, who will be the first runner up from YG in 2018 will be making their comeback in January with their 2nd full-length album, ‘RETURN’.
YG’s representative producer, YANG HYUN SUK, have expressed his affections on iKON numerous times through his social media, raising expectations from fans.
They also noticed that the new album will contain a “legendary single”, and that it will be “an album with no song to skip on”. Furthermore, iKON accepted the requests by fans and noted that they will be “Focusing on Korean fans in 2018”.
People are already paying keen attention on whether iKON, who will be making a comeback with a full-length album in two years, will be able to capture two birds with one stone, their fans and the mass.
