YANG HYUN SUK in ‘iKON PICNIC’, “iKON Will Soon Release an Album”, Surprise Announcement
[헤럴드POP=김은지 기자] ‘iKON PICNIC’, which gathered attention for being a first reality show with all members of iKON, successfully finished its scheduled 6 episodes.
JTBC’s ‘iKON PICNIC’ aired its first episode last month, and was regarded as a “kind variety show’ with episodes that make viewers remind themselves of their school day memories. Also, the production team responded to the fans’ requests by uploading behind-the-scenes videos online, making people call the show a “communicating variety show”.
The program was popular by fans as viewers can rediscover iKON’s charms. iKON displayed their presence as ‘variety geniuses’, totally different from their charismatic appearance on stage.
They were sometimes ‘beagle-like’ to each other, and sometimes gentle with manners, for the students from Tokyo Girl’s high school. iKON captured the minds of viewers with a ‘male friend in real-life’ like friendly-charm. They expressed their thoughts on the last episode of ‘iKON PICNIC’.
SONG stated, “When we were told that we will be going on a school trip, I wondered if I could ‘really go back to a high school student’. But when we started the show, I was happy because I felt like I really came to a field trip as a student rather than filming a variety program”.
He continued, “I think our great moments that we felt were successfully caught on camera. I would like to thank the production team for making a great show”, expressing his gratitude.
B.I stated, “I would like to keep my moments as memories. If I ever get a chance, I want to go on another school trip”. BOBBY stated, “It was like living a journal, a journal I would re-read multiple times even after time passes”, expressing his sentiments.
Lastly, JU-NE expressed his determination by stating, “I learned to live with a positive mind thanks to this school trip. I’ll become a person that can deliver bright energy to all of you”.
YG’s YANG HYUN SUK made a phone call at the end of the program, sending a surprise notification of iKON’s new album release. YANG HYUN SUK stated, “iKON will soon release an album. The variety program was fun, and I hope the album achieved good results”. He added, “I really care for you and love you guys, although I don’t express it”, showing his special affections for iKON.
iKON, after presenting happy memories for viewers every week through ‘iKON PICNIC’, is now currently getting ready for their comeback on January 2018.
