According to Gaon Chart results of the 39th week (September 24th-30th) updated today (October 11th), “Something Special” by Sechskies ranked first on the Digital Chart and BGM Chart—two charts in total.
“Something Special” is the title track of Sechskies’ fifth official album released after an 18-year hiatus. It is a bright and cheerful song, mixed with elements of reggae and hip hop. Its impressively heart-warming lyrics about a lover is loved by so many because of its popular appeal that enables anyone to easily enjoy the song.
After releasing its fifth official album, Sechskies’ songs not only succeeded trending on the hit list of Naver Music, hammering home the great potential of the first-generation idol group, but also ranked No. 1 on various Korean real-time charts, making a big splash.
