[Crazy Chart] WINNER’s “LOVE ME LOVE ME” Tops the Charts in 17 Countries including Hong Kong and Taiwan
[OSEN=김보라 기자] WINNER has made a comeback after a four-month break, and now their new song is sweeping the charts not only in Korea but also around the world, proving the group’s global popularity.
WINNER released its new EP titled “OUR TWENTY FOR” today on August 4, and one of its title songs “LOVE ME LOVE ME” became No.1 on the charts of Chile, Hong Kong, Thailand, Turkey, Taiwan, Russia, Spain, Vietnam, Indonesia, Norway, the Philippines, and Guatemala.
The song also topped Korea’s major online charts such as Melon, Naver, Mnet Music, and Bugs Music.
“LOVE ME LOVE ME” is WINNER’s sophisticated reinterpretation of disco and has fresh but weighty codes. WINNER members sing the song simply without any complicated techniques, and it goes well with the song’s firm drum sounds and heavy but impeccable rhythm.
“ISLAND” is a tropical genre song with an interesting intro that consists of clear pluck synth sounds and catchy brass lead sounds.
