[Music Talk Talk] YG ONE’s Day and Night
[OSEN=이소담 기자] The debut of ONE, YG Entertainment’s first solo male singer in 14 years, is just around the corner. He is to release two songs with very different styles, like day and night.
At 6 PM on July 11, the songs and music videos of “HEYAHE” and “ONE DAY”, the title tracks of ONE’s solo debut album, will be released.
YG has already revealed a number of teaser images and videos to raise expectations. The credit of “ONE DAY” was released first, which focuses on ONE’s pretty boy image. The teaser video of “ONE DAY” is almost like a romance movie.
The teaser images feature ONE under the sunlight to give off an innocent image. ONE’s good looks have already become a big issue when he appeared in seasons 4 and 5 of Mnet’s Show Me The Money. The teaser images created a sensation online after they were released.
However, there was another side to ONE. One of the teaser images showed a rebellious side of ONE as if it was a scene taken from a 90s Hong Kong gangster movie.
On July 1, information about the other title track of ONE’s solo album has been revealed. The title is “HEYAHE”, and ONE will be showing off his sexy appeal through this song for the first time ever.
An YG official commented, “The “ONE DAY” music video will show ONE’s innocent and pretty boy side. However, in the “HEYAHE” music video, ONE will show a totally different side, a dark and sexy image of himself in love at night. The two songs have very different styles and colors, and that’s why we made two very different music videos too.”
ONE has been working hard for the last two years to improve his song writing skills. He wrote the lyrics for both songs and co-wrote the music with non-YG artists. Check out ONE’s solo debut album and his chameleon-like charms.
