SECHSKIES to Debut Officially in Japan 20 Years After its Debut
[스타뉴스=길혜성 기자] SECHSKIES is to officially debut in Japan 20 years after its debut in Korea.
On May 12, YG Entertainment announced that SECHSKIES’s “THE 20TH ANNIVERSARY -Japan Edition-“will be released on July 29 in Japan. The album will consist of a total of 11 songs including the Japanese versions of “BE WELL”, “SAD SONG”, and “THREE WORDS” as well as remastered versions of “HEARTBREAK”, “RECKLESS LOVE”, “SAY”, “FAREWELL”, “COME TO ME BABY”, “BAD GIRL”, “DEAR LOVE”, and “TOGETHER FOREVER”.
By releasing this album, SECHSKIES will be officially debuting in Japan 20 years after its debut in Korea. YG commented, “The album will be a good opportunity to introduce to the Japanese fans the long history of the group and its unique color of music as it will contain SECHSKIES’s past hit songs and the Japanese versions of their recent hit songs.”
After releasing an album, SECHSKIES plans to hold a fan meeting in Japan. The group’s first Japan fan meeting will be titled “SECHSKIES JAPAN FAN MEETING 2017” and be held at the Yokohama Bay Hall in Kanagawa on July 23 and at the Nanba Hatch in Osaka on September 3.
SECHSKIES reunited last year after being disbanded for 16 years. Now, the group is actively promoting its new album, which has taken the No.1 spot on Korea’s online charts and No.9 spot on Billboard’s World Albums chart. Fans already have high expectations for how well SECHSKIES will do in Japan.
