“Comeback D-1” SECHSKIES unveiled track list of new album… Including re-mastered version of past hit songs (official)
[스포츠조선=조윤선 기자] Group SECHSKIES unveiled the track list of their new album “THE 20TH ANNIVERSARY” on YG’s official blog (www.yg-life.com) on April 27, one day before their comeback.
The new album includes new song “BE WELL” and “SAD SONG”, as well as “THREE WORDS” that swept charts of major music-streaming websites in and out of the country last year. It also has re-mastered versions of SECHSKIES’ past hit songs.
A re-mastered track refers to a new version of a song already released in the past, which is upgraded through re-recording, mixing, and mastering into more contemporary version. That is, SECHSKIES’ past hit songs recorded when the members were in their early twenties have been re-recorded with their current voices and the sound was upgraded into the newest version, to further enhance the quality of the songs to be included in the new album.
Among SECHSKIES’ past hit songs, “Heartbreak”, “Reckless Love”, “SAY”, “Letting You Go”, “COME TO ME BABY”, “Betrayal”, “Dear Love”, and “Together Forever” were re-mastered and total 11 songs including them and two new songs are put in the new album.
As the new album is released in celebration of the 20th anniversary of SECHSKIES’ debut, it is a meaningful present for both the SECHSKIES members and their fans.
Along with the track list, a teaser video of new song “BE WELL” is also unveiled.
The song’s sentimental lyrics “Don’t get sick. Don’t feel lonely. Hope you’re happy” whispered by EUN JIWON like monologue and the melody resonate with the pain and sympathy of all the people who have ever experienced breakup.
“BE WELL” is the main title song for SECHSKIES’ TV performances, which is a sentimental slow music different from “SAD SONG”, the other title track. “SAD SONG” released already is a rhythmical song with quicker tempo. “BE WELL” is the main title song following “THREE WORDS” released last year.
In the meantime, SECHSKIES is meeting their fans in 20th anniversary “V-LIVE” broadcasting today, before releasing their new album “THE 20TH ANNIVERSARY” on April 28 at 6PM.
