[Exclusive] YG has recruited one of the “K-Pop Star 6” contestants already… “Currently discussing with Boyfriend”
[스타뉴스=길혜성 기자] YG Entertainment (“YG”), one of the biggest music labels in Korea, has already recruited one of the contestants of SBS’s audition program “K-Pop Star Season 6―The Last Chance” (“K-Pop Star 6”) which has recently been finished in a great success. The company is also currently discussing signing a contract with “Boyfriend” (Park Hyun-jin and Kim Jong-seop), the winner of “K-Pop Star 6”.
According to information that Star News obtained on April 13, YG has already recruited one of the contestants of “K-Pop Star 6”, who drew keen attention from the viewers of the show. YG recognized the potential of the contestant and succeeded in recruiting him/her.
YG has yet to unveil who the “K-Pop Star 6” contestant whom the company has recently recruited is, for different reasons. However, the company will soon announce the news officially.
YG is also currently discussing signing a contract with “Boyfriend”, the winner of “K-Pop Star 6”. A music industry insider said, “YG is discussing contract with Boyfriend with the parents of the team’s members. We expect that the result of the discussion will be able to be officially announced within a few days”.
“Boyfriend” drew keen attention throughout season 6 of “K-Pop Star”, by presenting fancy performances and outstanding teamwork which were not like those of 11-year-old boys. After the duo became the final winner of “K-Pop Star 6”, people have been paying keen attention to which music label they will join.
