“New Journey to the West” show’s first episode in Xiamen… SONG MINHO’s remarkable presence
[서울뉴스1스타=강희정 기자] SONG MINHO boated his remarkable presence in “New Journey to the West” show. He made everyone burst into laughter with the other cast members of the show, by wearing a wig of a cartoon character, confessing his worries about hair loss, and giving wrong but funny answers to quizzes.
In the sixth episode of tvN’s “New Journey to the West” show aired on February 12 at 9:20PM, the episode of the six cast members of the show (Kang Ho-dong, Lee Soo-geun, Ahn Jae-hyun, Eun Ji-won, Kyuhyun, and SONG MINHO) departing to a new city, Xiamen, was broadcasted.
In the episode, the six were given their roles according to the order of the delivery of the food each of them ordered. Kang Ho-dong and SONG MINHO were the last ones to get their food and had to select who is the first among them by playing rock-paper-scissors. SONG ended up playing the role of pink-haired Bulma and Kang, the character of monkey-tailed boy Goku of famous cartoon series “Dagon Ball”.
On the next day, the cast members departed to Xiamen, a city known as the “Mediterranean of China”. On their way to Xiamen, they engaged in a competition of who is more unfortunate, over lunch. SONG confessed his hair loss problem and Kang confessed his diabetes. Eventually, SONG MINHO won the lunchbox.
The accommodation for the six was “tulou”, Chinese traditional apartment building built hundreds of years ago. The entire building was rented and the members played a scratch game, to select the room for each of them. A small room only with a sleeping bag was given to Kyuhyun and the suite was given to Lee Soo-geun.
In the evening, the members played a game of completing four-character words, to win a variety of dim sum for dinner. However, because of SONG’s weird answers, all the dim sum was taken away and the six had to go to sleep with empty stomach.
For the wake-up mission in the next morning, Ahn Jae-hyun and Kyuhyun were standing in front of “tulou” even before the staff of the show woke up, raising viewers’ curiously about what the wake-up mission was. As the title of the mission turned out to be “Keep your book”, the happenings for the night before the morning drew keen attention from the viewers of the show.
