[Look@Japan] BIGBANG topped ranking of number of audience for concerts in Japan… Twice bigger that the number for Arashi
[TV리포트=이지호 객원기자] BIGBANG topped the ranking of high number of audience for concerts in Japan, being ranked higher than Arashi. The number of audience for BIGBANG’s concerts in Japan this year is twice bigger than the number for Arashi.
Japan’s Nikkei Style reported on December 7 that BIGBANG took No.1 on the ranking of number of audience for concerts in Japan for this year. The ranking is the result of summing up the numbers of audience for major artists’ concerts held this year until October and to be held before the end of the year.
The number of audience for BIGBANG’s concerts held in Japan during this year is as many as 1.86 million. Nikkei Style said that BIGBANG performs in Japan for seven months out of a year and the number of concerts is the highest for BIGBANG, out of the singers included in the ranking.
BIGBANG held their fan club tour in Japan early this year at major stadiums including Makuhari Messe Hall in Chiba. In July, BIGBANG held a tour concert for three days in a row at Yanma Stadium Nagai, in celebration of the 10th anniversary. Plus, BIGBANG has been holding the fourth dome tour in Japan (16 shows at four venues), which began in November and will continue until the end of the year. BIGBANG has held dome tour in Japan for four years in a row.
Japan’s leading idol boy group Arashi who drew approximately 940,000 people to their concerts this year took the second place on the ranking. Arashi held their first Arena tour in nine years, in April this year. The team is currently continuing with their five dome tour which began in November and will be held until early next year in Sapporo, Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka, and Fukuoka.
Kanjani8 (Kansai Johnnys) of Johnnys took the third place on the ranking, drawing 880,000 people to their concerts this year. Kanjani8 hosted Arena tour from July to September this year and held concerts at Makuhari Messe Hall in Chiba and Nihon Gaisi Hall in Nagoya. Plus, Kanjani8 will also hold five dome tour from this month until January next year.
Girl group Momoiro Clover Z who drew 640,000 people to their concerts this year took the fourth place on the ranking, while dance and vocal group 三代目 J Soul Brothers took the fifth.
Among Korean musicians, group EXO took the 11th place on the ranking by drawing 470,000 fans to their concerts. iKON who made debut in January this year took the 19th place, by drawing 340,000 fans to their Japan arena tour held in spring and fall this year.
