“MOBB”, a unit team of WINNER’s SONG MINHO and iKON’s BOBBY, is raising fans’ anticipation, hinting on full-fledged promotion.
On September 8, YG Entertainment unveiled a poster about large-scale promotion for “MOBB”, on the company’s official blog (www.yg-life.com). The promotion will be implemented under the title of “MOBB TOWN” and it will have four detailed plans.
The first plan is “MOBB TOWN LIVE”, which refers to countdown live-broadcasting on NAVER V-APP. Today, one day before the release of MOBB’s double digital single, the two will appear in V-APP live-broadcasting to further raise anticipation for their new songs and music videos, while also closely communicating with fans.
Plus, a collaboration event titled “MOBB COLLAB” will be carried out with “PBA (PIZZA & BEER ASSOCIATION)” store located on Gyeongridan-gil in Itaewon, Seoul. Then, events including pop-up store “MOBB STORE” in Hannam-dong, Itaewon, and album release party “MOBB NIGHT” will be carried out.
Notably, all those promotion events will be hosted in Itaewon area, where the music video of one of MOBB’s double digital singles was shot. As they are held in Itaewon, the events will be free, easy, and passionate just as Itaewon is.
Before MOBB’s official duo debut, BOBBY released his solo single “HOLUP!” on September 7 at 0AM and SONG MINHO released his solo track “BODY” on September 8 at 0AM. “HOLUP!” is enjoying big popularity for BOBBY’s flagship rough and tough rapping, while “BODY” is also drawing popularity for its dreamy and sexy feel, different from “HOLUP!”.
Not only hip-hop lovers but also general music fans are paying keen attention to those two songs. They are showing substantial influence on charts, staying in top 10 on iTunes charts of many foreign countries including Vietnam, Thailand, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, Malaysia, Macao, and Philippines.
Following “HOLUP!” and “BODY”, “HIT ME” and “FULL HOUSE” of SONG MINHO and BOBBY’s unit team “MOBB” will be released today (September 8) at 0AM. Now, fans are paying keen attention to the sensation to be created by the two rappers.
