MV of BLACKPINK’s “WHISTLE+BOOMBAYAH” reached 30 million views… BLACKPINK syndrome
[엑스포츠뉴스=전아람 기자] The official music videos of “WHISTLE” and “BOOMBAYAH”, the double title tracks of girl group BLACKPINK’s debut album, have surpassed 30 million views.
As of August 19 at 8AM, “WHISTLE” and “BOOMBAYAH”, the double title tracks of BLACKPINK’s debut single album “SQUARE ONE”, recorded 14,447,441 views and 16,826,103 views, respectively, reaching total 31,273,544 views in combination. Those are exceptional numbers hard to attain for a rookie artist.
Plus, BLACKPINK’s “WHISTLE” and “BOOMBAYAH” are in the first and second place, respectively, on K-pop weekly chart of China’s biggest music-streaming website QQ Music.
BLACKPINK is exerting a big influence on the charts of Chinese and Korean music-streaming websites, staying in top ranks. At the same time, “WHISTLE” is in No.1 on the real-time charts of three major music-streaming websites: NAVER Music, Monkey 3, and Soribada. Furthermore, “WHISTLE” reclaimed No.1 on Melon’s chart.
As such, BLACKPINK is creating sensation in the music scene, sweeping No.1 on the real-time, daily, and weekly charts of all music-streaming websites in Korea, No.1 on iTunes charts of 14 countries, and No.1 and No.2 on American Billboard’s World Digital Songs chart.
