AKMU is sweeping eight music charts… All the songs in their new album are staying in top places
[마이데일리=최지예 기자] Brother and sister duo AKMU who has finally come back proved their big influence on music charts again.
“RE-BYE”, one of the double title tracks of AKMU’s new album released on May 4 at 0 o’clock, succeeded in sweeping top places on the charts of eight music-streaming websites: Melon, Genie, Mnet, NAVER Music, Olleh Music, Bugs, Soribada, and Monkey 3, as of the same day at 7am.
Along with the double title track “RE-BYE” and “HOW PEOPLE MOVE”, AKMU’s new album also includes “Haughty Girl”, “Green Window”, “Every Little Thing”, and “Around”, which are also staying in top places on charts. Such success proves music fans’ keen interest in AKMU.
AKMU’s “RE-BYE” is a jazz pop song which expresses heart that does not want to be hurt by repeated small and big partings in everyday life. “HOW PEOPLE LIVE” sings about curiosity arising from daily lives in a funky sound.
Other than AKMU’s songs, girl group TWICE’s “CHEER UP”, boy group BTS’s “FIRE”, etc. are ranked in top places on music charts.
