iKON took No.1 on Oricon chart with their debut album released in Japan… More than 50,000 albums sold on the first day of release
[OSEN=선미경 기자] Boy group iKON took No.1 on Oricon chart with their debut album released in Japan.
According to Oricon Style, Japan’s biggest music chart, on the 14 this month, iKON’s debut album “WELCOME BACK” released in Japan on the 13 recorded 53,207 sales, to take No.1 on the daily chart.
The album includes two discs with 12 songs in Korean and 13 songs in Japanese. iKON held fan meeting tour “iKON FAN MEETING 2015 IN JAPAN iKONTACT” in Japan in October last year before their official debut in the country. Total 26,600 fans flocked to 12 fan meetings, proving iKON’s big popularity in the country. iKON will begin Japan Arena tour next month.
iKON swept No.1 on music charts with their debut warm-up single “MY TYPE” before their official debut. They also recorded top ranks on charts with “RHYTHM TA”, “APOLOGY”, and “DUMB&DUMBER” successively. Music fans are now paying keen attention to what kind of success iKON will achieve in Japan, after recording a big success in Korea.
iKON will hold their second concert on January 30 and 31 at the gymnastics arena of Olympic Park in Seoul.
