2NE1 Chosen as Top 10 K-Stars to Look Forward to in 2016 in China
[동아닷컴=홍세영 기자] China chose top 10 K-stars that they look forward to in 2016.
On December 21, the Korea Consumer Forum announced the results of the survey that they had jointly conducted with People’s Daily Online. They asked Chinese people which K-star they look forward to the most in 2016 as part of their survey to choose the winner of the 2016 Korea’s First Brand Award.
The Korea Consumer Forum and People’s Daily Online gave a number of K-stars as candidates and asked Chinese consumers which K-star they look forward to the most in 2016. The survey was conducted via the website and mobile page of People’s Daily Online from November 23 to November 30. 197,233 Chinese people participated in the survey.
Kim Soo-hyun, Lee Min-ho, Kim Jong-kook, Lee Jong-suk, 2NE1, Jun Ji-hyun, Park Shin-hye, Yoo Jae Suk, BIGBANG, and miss A were chosen as the top 10.
The Korea Consumer Forum said, “We conducted this survey as Chinese people and Chinese tourists have become to trust Korean brands more and their image has been improved as a whole. So, we asked Chinese consumers which K-star they look forward to the most in 2016.”
On January 26, the Forum will announce the results of the survey they conducted asking which Korean brand was the No.1 brand in 2015.
Meanwhile, as an award that is well into its 14th year, the Korea’s First Brand Award is given to promising brands that get the most number of votes in a nationwide survey. First launched in 2003, the Korea’s First Brand Award has become the most prominent consumer award. This year, a new category has been made: Korea’s First Brand Chosen by Chinese Consumers. A survey has been conducted on Chinese consumers, and the results will be announced on People’s Daily, one of ten biggest media outlets in the world.
