“Show Me the Money” iKON member BOBBY talked about WINNER’s SONG MINHO [MD Interview ③]
[마이데일리=최지예 기자] BOBBY, a member of group iKON (B.I, KIM JINHWAN, BOBBY, SONG YUNHYEONG, JU-NE, KIM DONGHYUK, and JUNG CHANWOO), talked about SONG MINHO of YG’s senior boy group WINNER.
On November 16 in the afternoon, iKON had an interview about release of their double digital single at a café located in Seogyo-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul.
iKON is natively related with WINNER. The members of iKON and WINNER competed in cable channel Mnet’s survival audition program “WIN”. WINNER won the survival audition and debuted before iKON. At that time, iKON was faced with a crisis of being disbanded. iKON was restored from the edge of the brink, and finally made debut after a long time of waiting.
iKON members said, “WINNER is not like our rival, but like our brothers. Unlike what people think, we’re actually very close to each other. When we’re together, we chat and play jokes. We haven’t seen each other much recently though, as we’re so busy these days.”
Notably, BOBBY who won Mnet’s rapper survival show “Show Me the Money 3” before his debut mentioned SONG MINHO who competed in “Show Me the Money 4”. “As the winner of ‘Show Me the Money 3’ and as one of the fans of the show, as well as MINHO’s younger brother, I cheered for him so enthusiastically. We actually listened to the songs he will present in the show together and shared our ideas about them. I really wanted to support and cheer for him.” Then, BOBBY smiled while talking about what people thought of “Show Me the Money 4” that “the winner will be SONG MINHO anyway”, saying, “I really thought that MINHO will be the winner.”
iKON’s new song “APOLOGY” that is drawing enormous popularity upon its release is a slow R&B song which expresses a man’s sorrow and pain of breaking up with his lover. “ANTHEM”, the sub-title track for iKON’s new double digital single, is an original hip-hop song of B.I and BOBBY’s unit team.
The new double digital single of iKON was released on November 16 at 0 o’clock.
