WINNNER at “2014 MAMA”… “First Official Stage for Global Fans, Fantastic Performance”
[스타뉴스 홍콩=문완식 기자] Idol group WINNER (KANG SEUNG YOON, LEE SEUNG HOON, SONG MIN HO, NAM TAE HYUN, and KIM JIN WOO) said that they will present a good performance on their first official stage for global fans.
In the morning on the 3, an artist welcome meeting of 2014 MAMA (Mnet Sian Music Awards) was held at AWE (Asia World-Expo) located in Hong Kong. At the meeting, KANG SEUNG YOON said, “It is our first time to stand on this large stage of MAMA under the name of WINNER. We have finished our rehearsal, and WINNER’s performance for MAMA will be great. We prepared to show you who WINNER really is”.
“It is our first official performance for global fans, and we will show them who we are, on the stage of MAMA. We will also show you a performance that will help evolution of not only WINNER but also K-pop. I would like to ask for your interest in WINNER and K-pop”, added he.
Meanwhile, 2014 MAMA is held at 8pm on the same day (Korean time) at AWE in Hong Kong.
In the “singer of the year” segment, Super Junior, EXO, WINNER GOT7, Girls’ Generation, 2NE1, Girls’ Day, Roy Kim, Block B, Rain, Seo Taiji, SISTAR, IU, Ailee, Lim Chan Jung, and others are nominated.
In the segment of “song of the year”, EXO’s “Overdose”, TVXQ’s “Something”, TAEYANG’s “EYES, NOSE, LIPS”, Miss A’s “Hush”, Rain’s “30 Sexy”, Seo Taiji’s “ChristMalo. win”, Lee Sun Hee’s “You Among Them”, Kim Dong Ryul’s “That’s Me”, Soyoo X Jung Ki Go’s “Some”, SanE X Raina’s “A Midsummer Night’s Honey”, Garry’s “Take Shower Later”, etc. are nominated.
Guest performances are worth looking forward to. American pop-star John Legend will give a collaboration performance with Girls’ Generation member Tiffany, and Seo Taiji and IU will perform Seo Taiji’s “SOGYEOKDONG” together. Seo Taiji will also perform “Come Back Home”, a hit song of Seo Taiji & Boys, with Block B’s member Zico.
2014 MAMA will be live-broadcasted on CJ E&M in 16 countries around the world, including China.
