BOBBY Won ‘’Show Me The Money 3’’, Rewriting History of Idol Rappers
[뉴스엔 김민지 기자] BOBBY has taken the victory of ‘’Show Me The Money 3’’.
In Mnet’s ‘’Show Me The Money 3’’ aired on September 4, the final battle between Dok2-The Quiett team’s BOBBY and Yang Dong Geun team’s Iron was depicted.
BOBBY who has advanced to the final round in earlier stage came upon the stage first. He captivated the audience with his dynamic rapping and veteran stage attitude, performing ‘’Up the Guard and Bounce’. Notably, the song’s lyrics that criticized untalented idol rappers were impressive.
After BOBBY’s performance ended, Yang Dong Geun said his performance was ‘’just what BOBBY has always done’’ and BOBBY’s rival Iron also said, ‘’it was not that impressive’’. However, Dok2 and The Quiett complimented BOBBY’s performance.
Then, Iron began his counter-attack with ‘’C Da Future’. Iron expressed the future of his hip-hop on the stage, through ‘’C Da Future’’, a song of a unique genre that mixes heavy metal and hip-hop. Iron’s flagship uniqueness won the hearts of the audience.
After Iron’s performance, The Quiett said, ‘’Iron is not the one for victory. BOBBY is better.’’ C Jam also predicted BOBBY’s victory. On the other hand, Vasco said, ‘’I think Iron will win’’.
BOBBY won more votes in the first round voting by the audience and he became the final winner in the end. The victory enabled YG trainee BOBBY to rewrite the history of idol rappers.
