In the final episode on Sept 4, Yang Dong Geun’s team Iron and Swings-San.E Team’s C Jamm competed against each other for the ticket to the final round under the title “Money.”
In the previous episode, Doki-The Quiett team’s BOBBY was in the semi-final round against Swings-San.E’s Vasco, rapper of 14 years, to go to the final round.
BOBBY’s final competitor was Iron. Iron dominated C Jamm with his song “Sxxx,” attaining 7.75 million won. He dominated C Jamm who received 2.2 million won by far. While receiving compliments from Swing, San.E and Yang Dong Geun, he also made BOBBY nervous.
“The title ‘idol rapper’ makes the whole thing light. I hope you judge me in an objective way, that I am a good rapper.” This was a comment from the trainee from YG Entertainment. In his final round, he chose to perform “Guard Up and Bounce.”
Competing against BOBBY who dominated the stage and left the audience in awe, Iron performed “C Da Future,” cutting across reggae, rap and heavy metal. But in the end, BOBBY became the champion, after combining the 1st and 2nd round of vote.
After losing against BOBBY in top 4, Vasco commented, “BOBBY made me break the stereotype of an idol singer.” The show’s director, Cho Ik Jo commented, “BOBBY matured after going through a lot of performances. I have high hopes for him.” And BOBBY broke down all the stereotypes surrounding him and became the final champion. He commented, “I became the top, so you should acknowledge that I am a good rapper. This is just the beginning.”
The show will give him a chance to release an album and perform at a special large-scale hip-hop concert.
