US·UK Media, “BLACKPINK, the Absolute Force on YouTube… Sets New Milestone in K-Pop History”

Well known foreign media channels are reporting the news on girl group BLACKPINK, as their MV for ‘KILL THIS LOVE’ became the most watched video on YouTube in 24 hours.
Billboard, the American entertainment magazine, reviewed BLACKPINK on the 8th(local time) by writing, “BLACKPINK became the absolute force on YouTube” and added, “’KILL THIS LOVE’ set a new milestone in K-Pop history”.
Forbes, the global economy magazine, spotlighted BLACKPINK by calling them as a ‘revolution’ and ‘K-Pop Queens’ and wrote, “The girl group went on to dominate new charts among global Pop stars”.

Rolling Stones, the American music magazine also introduced BLACKPINK by writing, “Most K-Pop groups who have achieved success in the States are boy groups, but BLACKPINK is an exception”. They added, “BLACKPINK has a wide musical spectrum incorporating EDM, Trap, and Hip-hop. They let their presence known in various music charts of the US and now holds the most watched video on YouTube”.
UK’s BBC also announced BLACKPINK’s achievement which fits their nickname, the ‘YouTube fairies’, by announcing, “BLACKPINK set a new world record on YouTube”.
According to Google, the company which operates YouTube, the MV for ‘KILL THIS LOVE’ became the most watched MV in the first 24 hours on YouTube by reaching 56.7 million views in 24 hours, since the video was released to the public on April 5 at 0 AM.
Using the momentum, ‘KILL THIS LOVE’ also became the fastest MV in the world on YouTube to surpass 100 million views.
BLACKPINK will perform at Coachella Festival in the States on April 12 and 19. They will then go on their North America tour on the 17th, starting in Los Angeles.
