[스타뉴스 길혜성 기자] World-star singer PSY heard good news before the release of his new song.

According to American Billboard on the 8 this month, “Gangnam Style” released in mid-July in 2012 has taken the No.1 on the latest Dance/Electronic Streaming Songs chart (as of August 16).

“Gangnam Style” took a rank as high as the second on “Hot 100”, Billboard’s main single chart, after its release two years ago. The song has also maintained its No.1 on Billboard’s chart of “Dance/Electronic Streaming Songs” genre for a long time. However, after taking the top rank on Billboard Dance/Electronic Streaming Songs chart as of June 28, the place was taken by “Turn Down For What” of DJ Snake and Lil Jon. On the previous week’s chart, too, “Gangnam Style” was placed in the second rank, following “Turn Down For What”.

However, PSY exerted his power again, to reclaim the No.1 of American Billboard’s latest Dance/Electronic Streaming Songs chart, to prove his power as a world star once again.

Notably, PSY’s new No.1 is drawing all the more attention, as he is expecting the release of his new song “DADDY”. PSY is now working on the music video of “DADDY” and the song is to be unveiled during this month.
