TAEYANG thanks the fans for 6th trophy on Inkigayo
[OSEN=박현민 기자] BIGBANG’s TAEYANG, who recently unveiled his solo album, received his 6th trophy.
On SBS’s Inkigayo aired on June 22, TAEYANG’s “EYES, NOSE, LIPS” and “1AM” were up against Beast’s advance-release song “No More.” And the final voting score added another trophy to “EYES, NOSE, LIPS.”
After receiving his trophy, he commented, “I am so grateful to receive this prized following last week. I really thank my fans. I also deeply appreciate the work of the producers and my boss.”
“EYES, NOSE, LIPS,” for which TAEYANG wrote the lyrics, is highly praised for TAEYANG’s sentimental voice and his sincerity for music.
On June 12 he topped Mnet’s M Countdown while topping MBC’s Show! Music Core on June 14, and SBS’s Inkigayo on June 15, which was canceled. On June 19 he again topped M Countdown while also ranking #1 on KBS 2TV’s Music Bank on June 20. He received a total of 5 trophies on 5 terrestrial channels.
Other artist like Beast, Infinite, Children of Empire, VIXX, Jeon Hyo Sung, Cherry Filter, AOA, Boyfriend, J-Min, San-E X Raina, History, Mamamu, Empire and Megan Lee were also present at the special Brazil World Cup episode of Inkiagayo.
