TAEYANG’s “RISE” highlight-clip unveiled
[MBN스타 최준용 기자] TAEYANG unveiled a highlight video of “RISE” for his 2nd full album.
On June 6, YG Entertainment uploaded the video under the title “TIME TO RISE” on its official blog (www.yg-life.com). The video includes highlights of the 9 songs from the album—“INTRO,” “Eyes, Nose, Lips,” “1AM,” “STAY WITH ME,” “BODY,” “RINGA LINGA,” “This Ain’t It,” “LET GO” and “LOVE YOU TO DEATH.” It looks as if clock hands are moving every time the clip moves on to a new song.
The clip is a great gift to the fans as it portrays the general characteristics and concept of TAEYANG’s latest album. The video was partly unveiled to the fans who attended “RISE: Premiere” at a theater in Gangnam on June 2 and received enthusiastic reviews.
The title track “Eyes, Nose, Lips” knocked down 10 domestic real-time and daily charts immediately after its release, and it also became #1 on “24 hour usage comparison” chart, basically sweeping across all the charts.
On June 6, it topped 8 iTunes around the world including Hong Kong, Macau, Brunei, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam while ranking #11 on iTunes album chart on June 3. On June 6 the album ranked #78, still standing within the top 100 for 4 days.
The M/V that was released with the song attracted 2.936 billion views on June 6, and it became even more likely to reach 3 million soon.
On June 8 he will showcase the first performances of “Eyes, Nose, Lips” and “STAY WITH ME” on SBS’s Inkigayo. Expectations are building up especially for the latter song as GD, who not only composed and wrote the song but also features in it, will be on stage with TAEYANG.
