[스타뉴스 길혜성 기자] WINNER (KANG SEUNGYOON, LEE SEUNGHOON, SONG MINHO, NAM TAEHYUN, and KIM JINWOO), YG ENTERTAINMENT (“YG”)’s new boy group formed eight years after BIGBANG, has finalized the schedule of their official debut.

Even though WINNER has yet to release their official debut song, they have been creating sensation everywhere they go, since the end of Mnet’s “WHO IS NEXT: WIN” show at the end of October this year.

WINNER has already received endorsement offers from more than five major brands, which is an unusual case for an idol group who has not even debuted yet. Plus, more than 8,000 fans flocked to WINNER’s official fan meeting event held in November last year in Osaka, Japan.

That is why music insiders and fans have paid keen attention to when WINNER will make debut and release their debut song.

YG’s head Yang Hyun Suk talked about the details of the plan for WINNER’s debut in an interview with STARNEWS in the morning of the 7.

Yang Hyun Suk said, “Following ‘WIN’ show, ‘WINNER TV’ that openly depicts WINNER members’ daily lives and work has been aired since December last year. WINNER will release their debut album as soon as the show ends. As of now, we have a plan to release the album by the end of February this year.”

Yang went on to say, “WINNER is working hard on their debut album with YG producers. There is a high chance that songs written by WINNER members will be contained in the album.”

“WINNER’s first album will be a mini album. After making their official debut with the first mini album, WINNER will continue to actively perform on different stages”, added he.

As Yang Hyun Suk has revealed the details of WINNER’s debut schedule, fans are paying keen attention to WINNER’s future moves.

Meanwhile, WINNER has been performing on the opening stage of BIGBANG’s Japan six dome tour that has gained a great success in Saitama, Osaka, Fukuoka, Nagoya, Tokyo, and Sapporo from November 2013 to January this year. WINNER will also join the last concert of BIGBANG’s Japan six dome tour, which will be held from the 11 to 13 this month at Osaka Kyocera Dome.
