Akdong Musician will debut as a professional singer by giving a live performance on the stage SBS channel’s entertainment show “I Love Sunday-Survival Audition K-Pop Star Season 3” (“K-Pop Star 3”) by the end of February.
SBS Entertainment Department’s Nam Seung Yong CP said, “Akdong Musician, the winning team of ‘K-Pop Star 2’ will debut on the stage of ‘K-Pop Star 3’”.
As it has already been nine months since the end of “K-Pop Star 2”, people have been curious about when Akdong Musician will make their debut. And now, finally, fans will be able to meet Akdong Musician at the end of February”.
Akdong Musician was the final winner of “K-Pop Star 2” that ended in April last year. They came under the spotlight at that time with the largest-ever number of songs written by themselves in an audition program, as well as young ages and fresh originality.
17 Akdong Musician consists of a 17-year-old brother and a 14-year-old sister. They showcased nine songs written by themselves in “K-Pop Star 2”, boasting an outstanding talent. Their songs swept different music charts and surprised professional singers.
Akdong Musician came under the spotlight once again when they signed an exclusive contract with YG ENTERTAINMENT, which is the agency of Lee Hi, the runner-up of “K-Pop Star 1”.
