Psy’s “Gentleman” Was Selected as Most Viral Music Video of 2013 by American Time Magazine
[마이데일리 = 최지예 기자] American weekly news magazine “Time” recognized the catchiness of Psy’s single “Gentleman”.
Time magazine put the music video of Psy’s single “Gentleman” in the top place of “Top 10 Viral Videos” of the year, which was disclosed on its official web-site on the 4 this month (local time).
The Time magazine made a comment on Psy, saying “Do you think you cannot be struck by lightning twice? Korean pop star Psy has proven that he is a rain-maker, with his “Gentleman”.
“Gentleman” was a single following Psy’s mega-hit “Gangnam Style”, and it was loved by music fans around the world with its viral catchiness comparable to that of “Gangnam Style”. The music video of “Gentleman” released in April this year is recording 595,634,970 views as of 11:00am on December 5.
Besides Psy, the magazine put “I Got a Boy”, the title track of Girl’s Generation’s fourth full album, in the 5th place of “TIME’s Top 10 of Everything 2013”.
Girl’s Generation’s “I Got a Boy” was given the music video of the year award at “1st YouTube Music Awards”, which was held in November this year.
