G-DRAGON’s “NILIRIA”, Selected as One of “50 Best Songs of 2013” by America’s Complex
[OSEN=이혜린 기자] G-DRAGON’s “Niliria” has been selected as one of 50 “Best Songs of 2013” by American music magazine Complex.
On its web-site on the 2 this month (local time), Complex called G-DRAGON “K-pop’s superstar”, and praised him saying “The collaboration between G-DRAGON and Missy Elliott who had unofficially retired in this summer at LA Arena, was acclaimed by thousands of fans and it is indeed really good”.
The magazine went on to highly compliment YG ENTERTAINMENT’s producing by stating “Elliott may have to consider signing contract with YG, for her comeback album”.
“Niliria” was co-written by G-DRAGON and YG’s main producer Teddy and it is a hip-hop music where Korea folk song “Niliria”’source and electronic sound are mixed. The song has been drawing much attention with world-class female hip-hop musician Missy Elliott’s featuring in it.
World-class singers and musicians including Eminem, Kanye West, ASAP Rocky, Jay Z, and Robin Thicke are included in the “50 Best Songs of 2013”, and G-DRAGON is the only Korean singer in the list.
G-DRAGON has been continuously mentioned by foreign media outlets such as New York Times and FUSE TV since the release of his second full solo album “COUP D’ETAT”, and the album has constantly received rave reviews by a variety of media outlets.
Meanwhile, G-DRAGON has recently been performing for BIGBANG’s Japan six dome tour with the other BIGBANG members, which is the first-ever case of such concert for a foreign singer.
