From Se7en and G-DRAGON to Gummy and JENNIE… YG Family Reunites at 2NE1 Concert, Showcasing Unwavering Loyalty
[OSEN=지민경 기자] After a successful decade-spanning comeback concert, 2NE1 has marked ‘The Return of the Legends’. The original YG Family members also gathered in one place, celebrating the reunion of 2NE1.
Celebrating their 15th debut anniversary, 2NE1 hosted the ‘2024 2NE1 CONCERT [WELCOME BACK] IN SEOUL’ from October 4th to 6th at the Olympic Hall in Olympic Park, Bangi-dong, Seoul, rolling out a full group concert for the first time in about 10 years and 6 months.
Starting with ‘Come Back Home’, 2NE1 shook the music world with a series of hit stages, showcasing their 15 years of experience with compelling live performances and their unchanged overwhelming charisma and stage presence that eclipsed any notion of a hiatus.
As a concert featuring the full group of K-pop legends 2NE1, the event drew the eyes of many, including longtime fans and numerous celebrities who filled the audience.
Among those spotted in the audience were NewJeans, aespa, Stray Kids, BOYNEXTDOOR, Uhm Jung-hwa, Jung Yong-hwa, SHINee’s Key, Noh Hong-chul, Jun Hyun-moo, Yoon Do-hyun, who even participated passionately in the dance challenge segment.
This concert notably brought together the YG Family after a long while to support 2NE1. YG Entertainment comrades such as Se7en, Gummy, BIGBANG’s G-DRAGON, Daesung, Winner, iKON’s DK, BLACKPINK’s JENNIE, and others made their presence felt at the event.
BABYMONSTER, the youngest of YG, took to the stage as concert guests, showing respect and warmth in a delightful junior-senior exchange.
DARA posted on her social media on October 7th, saying, “We! Are! YG! Family family family~~~” along with several photos. DARA proudly displayed her enduring friendship through group photos with fellow YG seniors and juniors, including YG EXECUTIVE PRODUCER YANG HYUN SUK.
Meanwhile, following the Seoul concert, 2NE1 will continue to celebrate their 15th anniversary with a total of 15 shows across 9 cities including Manila, Jakarta, Kobe, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Singapore, Bangkok, and Taipei as part of their Asia tour.
