[엑스포츠뉴스=이예진 기자] The iconic K-pop group 2NE1 tried their hand at ticketing for their 15th-anniversary concert but faced challenges, stirring anticipation with the immense excitement surrounding the event. Yesterday afternoon, CL posted a video on her account showing the members attempting to secure tickets for the 2NE1 concert.

The ticketing for the concert started at 8 PM, with no pre-sales available, allowing each person to purchase up to four tickets per show. In the video, MINZY and SANDARA PARK were seen earnestly trying to navigate the booking process on their computers. CL asked, “Are you practicing?” to which MINZY replied, “Just warming up.”

As soon as ticket sales opened, MINZY exclaimed, “Book them. Book them. Why isn’t it working!” She showed visible frustration, saying, “The booking button won’t click!” Meanwhile, SANDARA PARK, who was trying to secure tickets via her phone, lamented, “It’s not working. Why can’t I press it?” MINZY, in disbelief, stated, “This is a disaster. Are there no seats left? That can’t be right.”

After repeated attempts, MINZY said, “The booking button won’t click,” prompting CL to suggest, “Maybe there’s something wrong with the computer.” Later, MINZY posted on her account, “Sigh, ticketing failed.”

The released photos included a message saying, “A temporary error occurred due to network or server issues. We apologize for the inconvenience. Please try again later,” followed by a screenshot showing “My queue number 406936.” Even 2NE1 couldn’t escape the failed ticketing attempt.

Netizens have reacted strongly, commenting, “It’s too small,” “Did they fail to understand the demand?” and “It seems like ticketing was destined to fail.” This performance, available for anyone to purchase without pre-sales, was expected to be fiercely competitive. 2NE1 sharing their firsthand experience with the intense ‘ticketing heat’ has certainly caught the public’s eye. Furthermore, it being their first full-group concert in approximately ten and a half years, international media have also taken notice.

Billboard from the US reported, “The most iconic girl group in the K-pop scene is making a comeback,” and the UK’s NME highlighted, “The return of one of the most successful second-generation K-pop artists with numerous hit songs.”

YG Entertainment stated, “We are fully committed to creating a festival for everyone with 2NE1 and our staff.” They also mentioned the unique standing zones named ‘BLACK’ and ‘JACK,’ leveraging 2NE1’s official fandom name, Blackjack, “hoping to create more special memories for the fans.”

Meanwhile, 2NE1 will kick off their Seoul performances on October 5th and 6th, followed by shows at the Kobe World Hall in Japan at the end of November and early December at the Tokyo Ariake Arena. They plan to expand their global tour schedule further into next year, aiming to engage with even more fans worldwide.
