BABYMONSTER Continues Its Chart Domination with ‘SHEESH’ Streaking in the Billboard for 7 Consecutive Weeks
[OSEN=지민경 기자] Rising K-pop girl group BABYMONSTER is extending its global popularity streak, having been featured on the US Billboard main charts for seven consecutive weeks.
As of May 21 (local time), according to the latest Billboard release, BABYMONSTER’s title track from their 1st mini album, ‘SHEESH,’ has placed 31st on the Billboard Global (Excl. U.S.) and 62nd on the Billboard Global 200 charts. The track has maintained its chart position impressively since its first entry on April 9.
Apart from Billboard, ‘SHEESH’ has also achieved dazzling success on various other domestic and international charts. It has successfully charted in the Spotify Weekly Top Songs for six consecutive weeks and has surpassed 90 million cumulative streams. It continues to perform well domestically, including reaching 8th place in the Melon TOP100.
The success of ‘SHEESH’ is likely to be carried forward by another track, ‘LIKE THAT.’ Gifted to BABYMONSTER by Charlie Puth, this track has received significant attention and love for its unique sound distinct from ‘SHEESH.’ Boosted by positive reviews, a performance video is scheduled to be released in May, heightening fan anticipation.
Meanwhile, BABYMONSTER is expanding their global reach with their first fan meeting tour ‘[BABYMONSTER PRESENTS : SEE YOU THERE].’ Following a sold-out first show in Tokyo with 26,000 seats, the tour will continue to Jakarta on June 8, Singapore on June 15, Taipei on June 23, and Bangkok on June 29 and 30. In August, they are set to perform at Japan’s largest music festival, ‘Summer Sonic 2024,’ connecting with global music fans.
