YG Entertainment Announces Global Audition in 10 Countries, Collaborates with Avex in Japan… “Boosting Youth Enthusiasm”
[MK스포츠=박소진 기자] YG Entertainment officially announced on March 8th that it will be holding global auditions from April to December to discover new K-pop stars. Emphasizing diversity and inclusivity, the auditions are scheduled to take place in 17 cities across 10 countries worldwide.
The audition journey will begin in Toronto, Canada, on April 27th, followed by sequential events in major global cities including the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, and Vietnam.
This audition targets teenagers born between 2006 and 2013, seeking talented individuals in various fields such as singing, rapping, dancing, and visuals. Participants will have the opportunity to fully express their talents and passion.
YG Entertainment has also planned a special audition in Japan, collaborating with the famous Japanese entertainment company Avex to hold separate open auditions in April and May. This effort is part of YG Entertainment’s initiative to scout talented aspiring stars across Asia, expected to bring fresh momentum to the global K-pop market.
The talents discovered through these global auditions will have the chance to grow into professional artists through YG Entertainment’s systematic training system, potentially becoming the new stars of the K-pop scene on the world stage.
