[스타뉴스=한해선 기자] YG’s TREASURE has heightened the anticipation of music fans with a teaser for ‘B.O.M.B (KABOOM ver.)’, infused with invigorating hip-hop energy.
On the 16th, YG Entertainment posted the DANCE PERFORMANCE VIDEO TEASER for ‘B.O.M.B (KABOOM ver.)’ on their official blog. The video gives a sneak peek of the track and the new performance that is set to release on the 20th at 6:00 PM.
TREASURE appeared in a subway platform set decorated with graffiti everywhere, exuding a strong street vibe. Subsequently, the ten members showcased a relay of individual freestyle dances, revealing their hidden hip-hop flair and capturing attention with their intricate moves.
The music inserted in the video, a slightly different charm from the original track, the KABOOM version, piqued interest. The old-school beats, scratching sounds, and powerful siren noises left a strong impression, stimulating curiosity about the entire track.
From their 2nd regular album ‘REBOOT’, the track ‘B.O.M.B’ is a dance song characterized by dreamy lead sounds and impactful string sounds. Even though it wasn’t an official promotional track, it topped the ‘Hot Trending Songs’ chart. On major music platforms like TikTok and YouTube, various dance challenges created by fans poured in.
‘B.O.M.B (KABOOM ver.)’, created as a gesture of gratitude for the love of music fans, introduces some lyric modifications and instrumental rearrangements for a fresh touch. YG hinted, “Not only the choreography which vividly depicts the feeling of being in love but also the video will showcase TREASURE’s unique energy-packed, witty dance moves.”
Meanwhile, the album ‘REBOOT’, which includes this track, has broken records by selling a combined total of 1.71 million copies (based on Circle Chart) both domestically and internationally, joining the ranks of million-sellers. Riding on this momentum, TREASURE is set to host ‘2023 TREASURE CONCERT [REBOOT] IN SEOUL’ from December 15th to 17th at the Seoul Olympic Park KSPO DOME (Olympic Gymnastics Arena), interacting with their local fans.
