BLACKPINK’s World Tour Finale Venue Was Gocheok Sky Dome: YG, “First for a K-pop Girl Group”
[스타뉴스=이승훈 기자] Girl group BLACKPINK has made history by becoming the first K-pop girl group to perform solo at the Gocheok Sky Dome.
According to their agency, YG Entertainment, on the 24th, BLACKPINK’s ‘BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR [BORN PINK] FINALE IN SEOUL’ will be held for two days on September 16th and 17th at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul.
The Gocheok Sky Dome can accommodate around 20,000 audience members, making it the largest indoor venue in the country. The scale has significantly increased compared to the concert held at Seoul’s KSPO DOME last October, marking the grand start of the [BORN PINK] World Tour, drawing attention.
In fact, over the past 11 months, BLACKPINK has sold out performances in major stadiums and arenas in 24 countries and 34 cities across North America, Europe, Asia, Oceania, and the Middle East, for a total of 64 shows. This highlights the immense global stature BLACKPINK holds as they emerge as top artists not just domestically but internationally.
With this, BLACKPINK not only undertook the most extensive world tour by a K-pop female artist but also became the first female artist in Korea to perform at Gocheok Sky Dome, marking another historic milestone.
YG commented, “In response to the unwavering support from our fans, we have expanded the scale to engage with more audiences. Given that BLACKPINK and their domestic fans are reuniting after almost a year, we promise to deliver the best stage performance.”
The first day of the ‘BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR [BORN PINK] FINALE IN SEOUL’ will be offline only, while the second day will be conducted both online and offline. Offline ticket pre-sales, targeting BLINK MEMBERSHIP subscribers, will open on August 29th at 8 PM on the Interpark ticket site, and general ticket sales begin on September 1st at 7 PM. Online live streaming tickets, which include options like delayed streaming, will be available for purchase after signing up on Weverse Shop from August 29th at 8 PM.
