On the 11th, YG Entertainment announced through its official channel that BABYMONSTER is preparing for their debut, targeting September.
According to the report, BABYMONSTER is actively working on the choreography and music video under the general supervision of YANG HYUN SUK, and they are awaiting their debut date.
Their debut album is said to include carefully selected tracks from a number of tracks prepared through a song camp, which YG held inviting famous producers from overseas.
In particular, it is garnering attention as they are expected to showcase a variety of stage charms by highlighting the powerful hip-hop genre characteristic of the YG style, represented by 2NE1 and BLACKPINK.
A representative from YG stated, “As many global fans have been asking about the debut schedule of BABYMONSTER, we wanted to share the current status. We will bring you good news soon.”
Meanwhile, BABYMONSTER is a YG girl group launched seven years after BLACKPINK, consisting of multinational members from Korea (AHYEON, HARAM, RORA), Thailand (PHARITA, CHIQUITA), and Japan (RUKA, ASA).
