BLACKPINK Set to Release Their First Official Mobile Game
[파이낸셜뉴스=김태일 기자] The first official mobile game of idol group BLACKPINK is on its way. With its global reach, the game is expected to make a considerable impact.
On April 4, game developer TAKEONE COMPANY announced the release of BLACKPINK’s first official game, ‘BLACKPINK: The Game,’ set to launch within the second and fourth quarters of this year.
The game was first revealed in March under the project name ‘BPTG’ through a billboard at BLACKPINK’s Malaysian World Tour concert venue. Only a few teasers and concept images were released on the official website, but today the game was officially introduced to fans through TAKEONE Company.
In ‘BLACKPINK: The Game,’ users will become a BLACKPINK producer (PD) in a multiverse world and help the members grow. Key features include a new puzzle format using various photo cards, a simulation where users manage members’ training and headquarters, a BLACKPINK World where users can communicate with others globally using personalized BLACKPINK avatars, and exclusive high-quality photos and videos of BLACKPINK shot specifically for the game.
TAKEONE Company boasts a high-quality gaming experience and an extensive range of content, developed over a three-year period. The game is designed to appeal to a global market, offering enjoyment even for those who aren’t necessarily fans.
Jung Min-chae, the CEO of TAKEONE Company said, “The unique know-how of our company’s content games and the active participation of BLACKPINK members will present a differentiated gaming experience.”
A representative from YG Entertainment added, “Fans will be able to see a variety of new sides to BLACKPINK through this game, and we hope that fans from all over the world will enjoy the unique pleasure found within the ‘BLACKPINK: The Game’ universe.”
