YG TREASURE to Release Official Light Stick in ‘Treasure Box’ Concept… “Will Show Our Will to Stay Together with the TREASURE Makers”
[OSEN=이승훈 기자] YG’s rookie group TREASURE will finally present their official light sticks.
On June 21, YG Entertainment revealed that they will begin receiving pre-orders for TREASURE’s official light sticks through the group’s Weverse shop. As a result, TREASURE will share a symbolic medium with the TREASURE Makers(fandom) for the first time since making debut, and will form a closer bond with them.
The concept of TREASURE’s official light sticks is a ‘Treasure Box’. It reminds the people of the group’s debut survival program ‘YG TREASURE BOX’, which allowed TREASURE to form and exist. There is a jewel shape placed on the top center of the stick, which symbolizes TREASURE and the TREASURE Makers.
TREASURE’s official light sticks will be transparent in color, as a meaning that the members will present their variety of colors and charms from now on. The handle of the light stick was created with the actual mic color TREASURE uses. It shows TREASURE’s will to stay with TREASURE Makers from all over the world carrying their light sticks, every time the group gets on stage.
The light stick also features various functions. It has the ‘live reaction mode’ which allows the users to enjoy TREASURE’s music with lights shining in sync with the song. Furthermore, It has a function which allows its users to listen to the ASMR recorded by the members of TREASURE, and also a light adjustment feature.
TREASURE’s light sticks will be available starting from the 28th through online and offline shops. YG has prepared various events to celebrate the release. They’ve prepared exclusive benefits on Weverse Shop which will be the online retailer and also the offline shop to pass on the special gift to the group’s global fandom.
After making debut last year on August, TREASURE has notified the birth of a global star group by reaching a total of over 1M in sales with ‘THE FIRST STEP’ series albums. The group swept rookie awards in major Korean award ceremonies and has recently released their first Japanese debut album, ‘THE FIRST STEP : TREASURE EFFECT’. The album has won 5 titles on major Japanese Weekly Album Rankings including the Oricon·Line Music·Billboard Japan.
