TREASURE Walks Down Memory Lane at ‘Hometown’ Osaka
[OSEN=선미경 기자] Group TREASURE’s new self-produced content ‘TREASURE WORLD MAP’ kicked off at Osaka, the hometown of member ASAHI.
On the 26th, YG Entertainment put up the first episode of ‘TREASURE WORLD MAP’ on their official social media. Members took the position of a tour guide for the day, and members were split into two teams, team ASAHI and YOSHI, and explored Osaka’s landmarks and famous restaurants.
ASAHI walked down memory lane, looking back on memories he had in different places. He led CHOI HYUN SUK, JUNKYU, ASAHI, and DOYOUNG to different places. Not only did they visit places where they had cool boards, a penguin statue, and character walls, but he also provided explanations like “There’s a saying that touching his feet will bring you good luck” when talking about the Billi Ken statue.
ASAHI then took the members to an arcade and played different mini-games like shooting, arm-wrestling and catching moles. The members also enjoyed a nice meal at a place recommended by ASAHI. ASAHI’s then visited the last stop for the day, Nagai Park. He looked over the Yanma Stadium Nagai located in the park and said, “I played soccer with my friends and dad in front of here. My dream is to hold a concert at this venue”, feeling sentimental.
Unlike ASAHI’s tour which was filled with moments of healing, JIHOON, YOSHI, HARTUO, PARK JEONG WOO, and SO JUNG HWAN’s tour was filled with mischievous and fun moments. Not only did they have fun taking silly pictures at Umeda Hep five Ferris Wheel, but they also copied Glico board’s pose at Dotonbori.
‘TREASURE WORLD MAP’ portrays TREASURE’s behind scenes from their Japanese Arena tour and Asia tour. As TREASURE has been praised for their high-quality self-productions such as ‘TREASURE MAP’, ‘The Mysterious Class’, and ‘TMI-LOG’, expectations are running high for their new series.
Meanwhile, TREASURE will be entering Japan’s Kyosera Dome and hold their first dome performance on the 28th and 29th of January. TREASURE will be holding an Asian tour starting with Taipei, followed by Kuala Lumpu, Jakarta, Bangkok, Singapore, Manila, Macau and Hong Kong, fueling their popularity in Asia.
