iKON Successfully Wraps Up Japanese Tour…170 Minutes Full of Emotions and Excitement
[OSEN=지민경 기자] Group iKON provide their popularity in Japan by successfully wrapping up their encore Japanese tour concert.
From the 22nd to the 23rd, iKON took the finale stage of ‘iKON JAPAN TOUR 2022~ FLASHBACK~’at Osaka-Jo Hall. A total of 3 sessions were held over the past two days, and all seats were sold-out early on. On top of this, thanks to the enthusiastic responses and requests from local fans, iKON opened up additional special seats, and shred great memories by interacting with 30,000 fans who filled up the concert venue.
Starting off with ‘KILLING ME’, iKON performed various songs including ‘Dive’ and ‘BUT YOU’, and track songs from the new album which was released in Japan in July, taking over the stage while living up to the title of being charismatic performance masters.
For the first time, the group brought in a live band session, putting iKON’s dynamic charms to life, and adding even more exciting elements for the audiences. The boys took over the hearts of audiences with their overwhelming live skills, which took over the entire concert venue, and their powerful performances. Fans applauded the whole time, paying back the passionate performance the group put on.
Since it was an encore concert held thanks to the enthusiastic support from local fans, there were also surprise stages. They performed ‘Your Voice’, which was a Japanese pre-release single, for the first time in front of the audience live. Since it was a song that topped local music sites as soon as it was released and was loved enormously by local fans, their live performance of the song brought out heart-warming responses from fans.
Over the course of 170 minutes, the group performed a total of 32 songs that were loved globally by fans such as ‘LOVE SCENARIO’, ‘APOLOGY’, ‘MY TYPE’, ‘DUMB&DUMBER’, ‘FREEDOM’, and ‘RHYTHM TA’.
iKON said, “There wasn’t a single moment which wasn’t beautiful while holding this tour. We’re the luckiest men in the world thanks to you guys. It is upsetting that today is the last day of the tour, but iKON will always be thinking of you wherever we are. We will keep working hard, so let’s continue on this relationship for a long time”.
Meanwhile, as soon as iKON made their debut in 215, they took the first spot on Japan’s Oricon chart, and won the rookie award of that year at ‘Japan’s Golden Disc Awards’ and ‘Japan Record Awards’. In 2019, they brought together a total of 1 million audiences during their Japanese tour, and they successfully wrapped up their tour this year, which came in two and a half years, by going around 3 cities (Tokyo, Kobe, Osaka) and holding 9 concert sessions.
