From EUN JIWON to JENNIE… ‘The Game Caterers 2’ Reach More Than 13 million Views on YouTube
[동아닷컴=전효진 기자] YG Entertainment artists gathered all together, showing off their strong bond as a family and their global influence.
On tvN’s ‘The Game Caterers 2’ which was aired both on the 25th of February and the 4th of March, YG artists such as EUN JIWON from SECHSKIES, CHANHYUK from AKMU, JINU, MINO, YOON from WINNER, JAY and YOON from iKON, JENNIE from BLACKPINK, CHOI HYUN SUK and JIHOON from TREASURE appeared.
Explosive attention was drawn to the lineup among global fans as it’s almost impossible to see them in one spot. From legendary 1st idol to the 4th generation which will lead the next K-POP scene, artists which represent each era got together and showed amazing chemistry, going beyond their music genres.
Proving how much of a hot topic it was among global fans, their YG Family episode already exceeded over 12 million views on YouTube, becoming the most talked about episode among all ‘The Game Caterers 2’ episodes. The videos which were split into two episodes took turns in becoming the 1st and 2nd most trending video on YouTube.
YG Family came even stronger when they were together. Even though their activity periods, musical perspectives, and characteristics were all different, they did not hide how much they feel for one another and how they see each other as a musical partner. JINU from WINNER tried learning the choreography for TREASURE’s new song ‘JIKJIN’, and YOON from iKON gave his prize to TREASURE members.
Another ‘it-point’ of the series was how enthusiastic YG artists were toward entertainment and how honest they were during the show. JENNIE from BLACKPINK lifted up the atmosphere with her talent and excitement level, and showed how competitive she can be when it comes to games. JIHOON from the youngest group of YG, TREASURE, showed how witty he could be and tried being involved the whole time, grabbing attention from viewers.
YG artists also sent each other loving messages. EUN JIWON from SECHSKIES said “It was very meaningful in that long YG artists got together. Thank you for providing such an opportunity”. MINO from WINNER also said “It was so fun to enjoy this with our YG colleagues”, showing how strong their bond is.
