YG TREASURE Wins Their Second Trophy by Placing First at ‘Music Bank’…To Appear on ‘Inkigayo’ On the 27th
[OSEN=이승훈 기자] Group TREASURE is running the road of popularity with their new title-song JIKJIN by winning two trophies at music shows.
The group took the number one spot for the last week of February at KBS2 ‘Music Bank’ which was aired on the 25th for their new title-song ‘JIKJIN’. The group won the title without making an appearance.
Not only is it their first win at a terrestrial channel, but it’s their second trophy following their win at MBC M ‘Show Champion’. Their feat is a testimony to how much popularity they’ve gained over the past year.
Following the feat, TREASURE will be making an appearance at SBS ‘Inkigayo’ tomorrow (27th) and perform their title-song ‘JIKJIN’ and track song ‘U’.
Global fans are paying attention as to how far their popularity will go, as their song, album, and YouTube records have been indicating their global popularity.
In fact, TREASURE is achieving meaningful awards in music charts both home and abroad.
TREASURE’s first mini-album, ‘THE SECOND STEP : CHAPTER ONE’ which was released on the 15th sold more than 700,000 copies so far and also took the first spot on the Hanteo and Gaon Weekly Album Chart.
The M/V for their title song ‘JIKJIN’ hit more than 42 million views and their song also swept the first spot on main Japanese music charts such as Line Music’s Weekly Chart, Rakuten Music, iTunes, AWA, and mu-mo.
