Psy flies to NY on April 25: embarks on ‘Gentleman’ promotion
At 10a.m. on April 25, the plane that carries Psy to the United States will be leaving Incheon Airport. This marks the start of his promotion in the U.S.
He will be arriving in New York to properly embark on his journey of promoting ‘Gentleman.’ His American manager, Scooter Braun, who has been in Seoul, is already in the States to sort out Psy’s schedule.
It is said that many prominent television programs in the U.S. are already trying to get Psy to be on their shows.
Psy has already been on numerous shows on American television. Last September, he was on Ellen, a show that represents NBC, and a popular morning show Today Show, and the most-watched comedy program SNL. Britney Spears joined Psy on Ellen, where she learned how to dance the horse-riding dance. This was when Psy’s slogan “dress classy, dance cheesy” started to spread all around. Immediately after appearing on Today Show, ‘Gangnam Style’ ranked No.1 on the American iTunes. On SNL, it caricatured how, for some reason, you get excited when you hear ‘Gangnam Style.’ Appearing on American television programs surely helped Psy gain more fame in the country.
Meanwhile, ‘Gentleman’ is nearing to reach 200 million views in the afternoon of April 22.
