TREASURE Unveils Tracklist for New Album…Increased Members’ Participation
[OSEN=선미경 기자] Group TREASURE from YG Entertainment unveiled the tracklist for their new upcoming album on the 3rd.
According to YG Entertainment, TREASURE’s digital album ‘THE SECOND STEP : CHAPTER ONE’ which will be released on the 15th, a total of 4 new songs including ‘JIKJIN’, ‘U’, ‘DARARI’, and ‘IT’S OKAY’.
‘BFF (Best Friend Forever)’ and ‘Gonna Be Fine’ which were the OST of their web-drama ‘The Mysterious Class’ also got listed on their physical album, and therefore a total of 6 songs got listed on TREASURE’s ‘THE SECOND STEP : CHAPTER ONE’.
YG’s ultimate producer group took part in the album adding more quality to the work. Attention is being drawn to the final result as CHOICE38 and AiRPLAY who have shown best teamwork with TREASURE collaborated with the group once again.
CHOI HYUN SUK, YOSHI, and HARUTO who have been steadily developing their musical abilities by taking part in the album also took part in the rap making process in many track songs including the title song ‘JIKJIN’. In particular, CHOI HYUN SUK took part in the composition and lyrics for ‘BFF (Best Friend Forever)’, and BANG YE DAM added even more meaning to the album by being charge of the vocal directing along with taking part in the composition and lyrics for ‘DARARI’.
YG said, “TREASURE’s new album ‘THE SECOND STEP: CHAPTER ONE’ incorporates a variety of musical characteristics ranging from intense hip-hop with an energetic aura to sophisticated easy listening pop, R&B, and ballads“. They also added “The public will be able to see for themselves how much their abilities’ developed in all aspects.”
Meanwhile, TREASURE’s new album ‘THE SECOND STEP : CHAPTER ONE’ will be released on the 15th of February. The upcoming mini-album which is currently under pre-sales have reached more than 600,000 copies in just about 8 days, signaling the best performance by the group so far. Considering how there was still about a month left until the physical album release date when the first tally was counted, it is expected that the total number of orders will increase further more.
