YG Unveils Individual Posters for TREASURE CHOI HYUN SUK·JIHOON·YOSHI·JUNKYU
[동아닷컴=정희연 기자] YG mega group TREASURE started releasing individual poster shots ahead of releasing their new album, catching the eyes of global fans.
YG Entertainment released poster images of 4 members (CHOI HYUN SUK, JIHOON, YOSHI, JUNKYU) out of 12 one by one on the 18th, which showed their different charms.
CHOI HYUN SUK gave a dramatic change to his hair style, JIHOON showed off his soft charisma, YOSHI with vivid red hair color gave off an sharp yet traditional vibe, and JUNKYU caught the attention of fans with his sentimental facial expressions. Their white outfits showed a dramatic difference to the vivid background colors of orange, red, and blue, making the members’ presence stand out even more.
TREASURE will be releasing ‘THE SECOND STEP: CHAPTER ONE’ on the 15th of February. Unlike ‘THE FIRST STEP’ series which was a single album, the upcoming album comes in the form of a mini album. Although the tracklist hasn’t been unveiled just yet, active activities are expected as more new songs are contained.
TREASURE released four albums in a row since their debut in August 2020 over approximately five months, in accordance with YG’s super fast and focused strategy. They quickly established themselves as a rising star after selling a total of 1 million copies.
Their first full Japanese album swept various Rookie of the Year at various music awards after topping five album rankings on major platforms such as Oricon, Line Music, and Billboard Japan without any album promotional activities in Japan.
TREASURE then proved their overwhelming stage presence and live skills through ‘PRIVATE STAGE [TEU-DAY] which was held both online and offline, signaling how much growth they will see as an artist.
