YG expressed its position officially as the world star Psy’s new music video for ‘Gentleman’ has been confirmed the new video clip is inappropriate to air on television.

The decision was made on April 18 by KBS, Korea Broadcasting System, on the basis that Psy’s new music video is inappropriate for the audience.

In its classification for airing on television, ‘Gentleman’ music video initially received 15+ due to some sexual scenes, but because he damages public property in the clip, it was later deemed inappropriate.

But YG Entertainment, the agency to which Psy belongs, officially announced that it is not going to ask KBS for another revision to deregulate the classification status.

The agency explained that there is no reason to edit the music video only to ask for a reassessment of its classification.

Online users who have heard YG’s news left comments like: “I agree with YG’s view”, “I think the video is too sexual – why so explicit?”, “YG sounds confident”, “Psy is a world star now, YG should have been more careful in editing the video” and “I love it, what’s the big deal?”

Meanwhile Psy has ranked No.12 on the American Billboard’s HOT 100 Singles Chart on April 18 (Korean time), and is still raking in the attention from all corners of the world.
