BLACKPINK’s ‘Forever Young’ Dance Practice Video Reaches 200 million Views
[스타뉴스=윤상근 기자] The dance practice video for girl group BLACKPINK’s ‘Forever Youn’ reached 200 million views on YouTube.
According to YG Entertainment on the 13th, the dance practice video for ‘Forever Yount’ reached 200 million views as of 10:30 a.m. on the same day. This feat was reached after 3 years and 5 months since it was released in June 2018.
‘Forever Young’ is one of the double title songs of BLACKPINK’s first mini album ‘SQUARE UP’ released in 2018. It’s a moombahton rhythm dance song that shows strong contrast between a bubbly, pretty verse and a charismatic chorus. The song portrays the message of ‘let’s make the most out of our youth’, which makes the song stand out even more.
At the time of release, this song received lots of love from fans around the world and swept various music charts along with ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’. The ‘SQUARE UP’ album that contains ‘Forever Young’ took the first spot on iTunes Chart in 44 countries and also topped Japan’s Oricon Digital Album Chart.
BLACKPINK has been making their presence clear in the YouTube world with their dance practice videos also hitting hundreds of millions of views. Out of 32 BLACKPINK’s videos that reached hundreds of millions of views, 10 dance practice videos have reached more than 200 million. The cumulative number of views for their channel is more than 21.5 billion and they’ve now reached more than 70.4 million subscribers. This is the most out of all artists around the world.
