LISA of BLACKPINK Reveals Movie-Like Dance Performance Video
[엑스포츠뉴스=조혜진 기자] LISA of group BLACKPINK revealed a dance video for a surprise gift for the fans, celebrating the New Year.
On February 21, LISA uploaded the ‘LILI’s FILM #5 – LISA Dance Performance Video : THE MOVIE’ through her personal YouTube channel called ‘LILI Film’. Like the title of the video ‘THE MOVIE’ suggests, the clip presented a mystic and noir-like mood by adding drama into her performance.
The performance video was created with choreographer Cheshir Ha, who has worked with LISA on the existing dance videos of ‘LILI Film’. LISA reinterpreted Destiny Rodgers’ ‘Tomboy’ into her own by using her deepened expressions and superb dance techniques.
Starting in black and white, LISA arrives in a strange city and enters a random pub. She leads the mood of the song with lyrics expressing an independent woman through her confident look, showing off her unique girl-crush charms.
Along with the changes in her outfit, LISA also grabbed the people’s attention by presenting different feelings. The mannish LISA wearing grey colors presented choreography which merged the overall song with a powerful and fiery mood. LISA wearing the black colored short outfits moved her arms and legs freely, presenting a glamorous performance filled with sexiness.
LISA’s performance clips are receiving love from the global fans and are reaching high vie counts. One of the scenes from LISA’s performance became a ‘Meme’ challenge last year, arousing enthusiastic responses from the entire globe.
With the consistent attention of people’ LISA’s personal YouTube channel ‘LILI Film’ has surpassed 5.11M subscribers and 170M accumulated views, despite having only 10 videos. LISA also currently has over 46.52M Instagram followers, which is the biggest number among all K-Pop artists. The indexes show LISA’s strong presence among global fans.
Meanwhile, after successfully holding ‘YG PALM STAGE – 2020 BLACKPINK: THE SHOW’, BLACKPINK will continue with their solo projects in the order of ROSÉ and LISA.
