TREASURE’s ‘MMM’ Dance Cover Contest Finished in Success→3 Winning Teams Announced Today(11th)
[OSEN=심언경 기자] The ‘MMM’ dance cover contest held by TREASURE, YG’s major rookie group, was completed in success with the heated responses of global fans.
From November 12 until December 7, YG Entertainment held TREASURE’s ‘MMM’ dance cover contest, which lasted for a total of 26 days.
Fans of different ages from various countries including the US, Japan, Vietnam, Indonesia, France, and Brazil participated in the contest, proving TREASURE’s broad spectrum in popularity.
Since the title song ‘MMM’ from TREASURE’s third single album concentrated the fierce Hip-hop sounds and the latest dance trends, many talented teams competed to become winners. After careful review, YG announced 3 winning teams on the 11th at 6 PM.
The grand prize-winning team was the ‘M.S CREW’ from Vietnam. Shot in a fresh-looking outdoor background, the ‘MS CREW’ team presented orange colored styling and powerful dance lines which perfectly covered TREASURE’s moves, which led them to win 1st place in the contest.
The second prize-winning team was ‘W-UNIT’ from Vietnam. They not only expressed the facial expressions of TREASURE members but also made delicate choreography points stand out, presenting their outstanding skills.
The third prize-winning team was ‘BlackSi’, who are also based in Vietnam. They presented a visual concept which reminded the viewers of actual TREASURE, as well as presenting their ‘sharp group dance’ which resulted in the highest views among all participants of the contest.
After making debut on August 7, TREASURE has won the honor of winning the Rookie of the Year Award at the ‘2020 Asia Artist Awards’ as well as winning the Best New Male Artist Award and a Main Award at the ‘2020 Mnet Asian Music Awards’, which established themselves as global rising stars.
The 3 single albums TREASURE has released until now have reached a total of over 700 thousand album sales, while all 3 title songs from the albums have topped global charts including the Top 100 chart of Line Music, which is Japan’s biggest music platform, as well as being ranked at no. 1 on Rakuten Music’s Real-time Comprehensive Rankings.
